DAILY STRIKE SPEECHES.
TO THE OLD UNIONS. Following the daily practice, the Waterside "Workers' Union (original body) held a meeting of members at tho Skating Rink, in Vivian Street yesterday morning. It is reported] to have been well attended, but there was nothing arising out of the business for communication to the Press 1 . A meeting of members of the old Drivers' Union was held yesterday. The secretary reports that it was tho biggest held sinco tho striko, and that the men' are standing solidly together. Routine business was transacted, and there was a general discussion.
It is understood that it is tho intention of the union to try to keop their present tactics going until they receive roports from the delegates who went to Sydney by tho Ulimaroa last Friday. If the unions on tho other side of the Tasman Sea do not decide to take an active part ia the striko, it will be called off as far as tlio Wellington watersiders are concerned. BUILDING TRADES LABOURERS. At a meeting of members of tho Building Trades Labourers' Union, held yesterday morning, a resolution was unanimously adopted in tho following terms: —"That this mooting oxpress its complete confidence in tho organisation and the conduct of the strike, and assert its determination to continuo tho fight until a full and honourable settlement of the dispute is arrived at."
