TWO-DAY BALLOON TRIP.

550 MILES FROM PARIS TO YORKSHIRE. One of tho balloons which started from Paris in tho Gordoii-B.onnett international race landed on tho Yorkshire eo.aßt, having covfirod over 650 miles ill seme 44 hours. The landing was effected in a fried blowing at forty miles an hour in the- direction of the sea. The occupants of tlie balloon were Americans., Mr- R. H. Upton and Mr. R, A. D. Preston. Mr, Upton said that the balloon crossed tho Channel from neat Cherbourg to the neighbourhood of Southampton, passing over tho English coast about B a.tn. It passed near Hull in tlie morning. Tho English balloon, with Mr. John Dunville and Captain Oorbett as pilots, landed on the coast of Brittany.
