A "CITIZENS'" MASS MEETING.
AND AN EXPLANATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) , Christehurch, November 23. At a largely-attended open-air meeting in Victoria Square last night, over which tho Mayor (Mr. H. Holland) presided, the following motion was agreed to without'dissent"lt is resolved by this mass meeting of citizens of Christchurch, the Mayor presiding, that the Government be requested, to introduce legislation to end the present crif,is, and that in such a manner as shall immediately return all workers to their regular employment, and shall protect all unions ;'n all industries' from tho creation of wy now. union in any industry in which thero is a union already organised, either under the Trades Union Act or under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act." A motion was also agreed to protesting against the l'm-' prisonmcnt of the Labour leaders. The prticeedings wero orderly.
