Below are given a few .specimens of savings, pithy and otherwise, which fell from members who spoke yesterday in the obstruction debate in tho House of Representatives.. , - . . Mr. W. D. S; Macdonald: ,Thero are honourablo members, of this House who are hampered with a legal mind. _ Mr. F. Mander (to the Opposition): You are ottt on strike. Mr. J. Bollard: Our motto is. "No surrender." Mr. R. M'Callum s We on this side of tho House do not desire to weary anyone . . . but it is our duty, Mr. J. Colviti: We have been here for twenty-four hours, and we haven't moved a peg. Mr. J. Payne: As I recognise that we have got to go on wasting time. Mr. J. C. Thomson : I submit that, w.e are lowering the prestige and dignity of the highest Court- in the land." (Government members: Hear, hear.) Mr. T. E. Y. Seddon: Sir, if anjihing can irritate ono it is a conspiracy of silence. .
