3 {' APPEAL TO PREMIER, r (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) , Dunedlhj Novembftr 20;' : r At a meeting to-night of tlio Trades and Labour Council the following resold tions were carried :—"(1) That' the falf lowing telegram bo forwarded to the' , Prime Minister: "That this eo-micil apl peals to the' Prime Minister ajjd mem-- ' bers of Parliament to tako immediaio steps to bring about an end of- tlio present industrial upheaval by immediately passing into law a Bill providing that ' any shipping company, or other em-; j ployer, make it a, condition <af employmorit that workers shall ro.gi&tor under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbi-tr-a- ---(' tion Act.' (2) That a special meeting j of tlio council be held this Jvighi week j for the purpose of considering what 1 action shall bo taken, in the event of I no satisfactory reply being received from 5 the Primo Minister," Tho coutieil dc- " cided to recommend the- tinfoils to sup--3 port Mr. J.
