—■* HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The current vaudeville programme at His Majesty's Theatro contains one particularly novel turn. It is billed as "Arthur Troiitt, the Human Fish, the champion undor-water swimmer of the world." Troutt performs, in a large crystal tank, and his antics and feats command very spontaneous applause. This wonderful turn is supported by other items furnished by a strong company of new artists, a Tho programme will be repeated this eveuing. THE KING'S THEATRE. The,remarkable picture furuishiug incidents of the late Captain Scott's journey over the frozen south to the South Pole continues to attract largo houses to the King's Theatre. Some of the more interesting scenes are: Terra Nova in a" heavy sea;\ landing motorsledges ori the ice; making scientific observations; Mount Erebus in eruption; playing football on an icefield; and others. This picture, in conjunction with supporting items, will be shown until further notice. There will be a matinee performance at reduced rates of admission ori Saturday afternoon at 2.30. THE-EMPRESS THEATRE. The A.B. Company's sensational drama, "His Secret," took prominence in yesterday's new programme of the Empress Theatro continuous pictures. The ,story opens with a young working man and his wifo facing starvation through inability to obtain employment. The man starts out again to seek work, but is once more unsuccessful. Ho sees soinc little girls playing, and subsequently finds a valuable necklace that one of them has lost. Ho returns the jewels, but, under temptation, determines to steal them again. His wife, in the meantime, sees one of the children fall from a tree, and she picks up the unconscious child, and carries her to the little one's home. The husband is now entering the samo house to steal tho jewols, and tho sight of his wifo causes him to decide to remain honest. Ho returns home, where ho is joined by his wife, who hands him a roll of bank notes, presented to her by the child's mother. Out of gratitude, the mother seiids for the couple, and gives them both? remunerative positions. Meritorious items also are: "The Mountain Witch" (Kalem drama), "The Trap.per's Daughter" (A.K. drama), "Lizards and Frogs" (Nature study), "Hubby's Toothache" (Vitagraph comedy); "Ono Best Bet" (Kalem comedy), antl "Springheoled Jack" (Fatho comedy). New selections were given by the Empress full orchestra last evening. SATURDAY'S ORGAN RECITAL. The series of organ recitals will be resumed on Saturday evening noxt, a very interesting programme is promised by,the City. Organist.. The .programme includes one of tho finest works by Basil Harwood, tho last organist of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, entitled "Dithyramb" (an ancient Greek hymn, sung in honour of Bacchus), also a "Concertstuck," by Edwin Lemaro, which should give the City Organist, Mr. Bernard Page, fine opportunities of showing the great possibilities of the modern concert organ. Two old English items, an "Air" and "Gavotte," by Samuel Wesley, should be of interest to lovers of tho old music. The "Suite Gothique, No. 1" (Boellmann), will be played with its four movements, choralminuet, Gothique-Priorc a Notre Dame, and toccata, besides-three other; items —by Wolstenholme. Wheeldon, and Gigout—together with the Good Friday music from the third act of "Parsifal!' (Wagner), which is-the most beautiful and'most popular part, orchestrally, of the opera, will be played. Tho programme is expected to attract a large audience! ' " "~ '
