TRAM SERVICES;
DECISION TO CURTAIL THEM. Tramway traffic lias shown a considerable shrinkage during the period of the strike and, on account of the corresponding decline in revenue, the management has decided to curtail the service during the slack hours of the day. Tlie Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) stated yesterday that the proposal is to run the cars at fifteen-minute 'intervals instead of ten, but tho ordinary time-table will bo maintained during rush hours. The staff, will not be lessened, and the work will be distributed on an even basis. Those- men who have been earning money by overtime will not, ■ of course, have tho same opportunity; until normal times return.' . :
