Half a dogen carpenters employed on the Kamo Jit Port Chalmers refused to take some bollards to the steamer from the Union Company's store, mid were promptly dismissed. It is understood that the men form part of the minority of tho Shipwrights' Union who were dissatisfied 'with the decision not to strike, It is said that the men arc endeavour* ine to set another meeting of the union with a'view- to inducing the others to strike.
