REBUFFED.
REPLY TO -STRIKE COMMITTEE. The Strike Committee has sent a letter to the Harbour Board's' permanent men asMng them to cease work. The letter also contained a request for permission'for a delegate to address the men. It is understood that tho pev manent men replied to tho effect that they had no intention of ceasing work aiwf further the Strike Committed was asked to put their statements in -writing, as' the permanent men had no desire to be addressed by any delegate.
