Lawton Little was charged with using certain language in the hat of. tho Vic- j toria Hotel, Ve-tone, on'November'7. Accused' pleaded not guilty, but- after evidence was convicted - and fined £8, - with costs lie., in default one mont-kVi imprisonment. . Judgment was given for plaintiff by.default iu tho following civil oases :— Gotten..and :Son r v. -Thomas,,M'GiH, £79s„ costs 165,; George; and-George v. Thomas Eoarns, 12s. 6d., costs ■ 8s,;! same v. A. J. Fitzgerald, _£1 10s, 9d,., costs 65.: Wearhe alid Coilins v. \Venny Wynward, £7 os. 9d„ costs £1 3s, 6d.
