RAILWAYMAN'S SYMPATHY.
At a meeting of the Thorndon branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, held on Monday, a resolution was carried sympathising with the waterside workers in their struggle for retaining the principles of their u-nwu, and urging' upon tlio Government tlio necessity of preventing employers tram forcing "thorn to re-register under the Arbitration Act before coming to any agreement, and that a special meeting bo held on Sunday, November 23, to consider what action should be taken in regard to assisting the families of those now an strike.
