HOW FOXTON STANDS.
(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmerston North, November 15. The "Standard" publishes a report from Foxton that communication with Wellington will bo resumed early this week by tho Queen of tho, South receiving cargo at Wellington to-day for Foxton. The Waterside Workers* Union, which ceased work,, bas been notified that tho shipowners will not recognise them except under the Arbitration Act, under which the old broken agreement would be registered anew. The Foxton hemp and wool stores liavo sufficient capacity till the end of tho month. Coke is in good supply at tho flaxmills, but the mills using coal will soon bo in difficulties, Foxton's total supply being estimated at 150 tons. Th" quantity of heinp and woor awaiting shipment amounts to BCIOO bales, and tho arrivals are 200 bah?s daily.
