Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having offered a medium yarding of both sheen and cattle at t-ho' Dannevlrlte sale, held-on Friday. Sheep were in good, demand, and a. satisfactory clearance wais effected, the bulls of tho cattle entries', also, changing hands at late market rates. Da'gcty and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly Levin stock salo on Friday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and an exceptionally heavy yarding of cattle, Although bidding was rather spasmodic, a. satisfactory Eale resulted, especially in regard,to. cattle, when most of the lines offered were disposed of under, the hammer. At the commencement sheep .met'-.with 'rather, a dragging-sale, ■principally'i'owins to the' fact that.in a number' of. instances. J vendors' . reserves were rather on , t-ho high' side, ar,d compared; with'-last sale Tates the prices for sheep were on about a par. A brisker tone prevailed, and with the exception,'of one small pen of cattle/we disposed of our entry at prices satisfactory to vendors.
