GENERAL COMMITTEE. Tho monthly meeting of the General Committee of tho Masterton A. and I*. Association was held on Saturday. Present; —Messrs. 0. C. Cooper (president), Bland Rayner, W. H. Buick, J. E. Perry, H. J. Dagg, J. C. M'Killop, C. I l '. Vallance, A. D. M'Master, J. M. James, C. A. Cameron, lt.*Gray, 11. Morrison, W. D. Watson, D. Caselberg, G, H. Berry, G. C. "Williams, D. M'Grcgor, A. J. Percy, E..C. Harper, 'W. Cooper, J. T. Dagg, and J. Strang. A letter was, read from tho Associated Conference of A. and P. Associations, forwarding the tenth 1 annual report, and asking for an expression of opinion on certain subjects—Tho communication was received. Tho'Clydesdale Horse Society wrote, stating that either a bronze medal or silver medal would \be contributed by the society for competition among draught yearlings or two-year-olds _ at •the association's show. —It was decided that the medal be allocated to a class •for-yearling draught colts. Tho report of the meeting of the .Ground Committee, at which Mr. R. Gray presided, was read. Tho caretaker reported haying overhauled and repaired the cattle yards and horse stalls, and planted flowers at the corners of the lawn! The disposal of the clover crop'was, loft in the hands of Mr. Gray. The chairman stated that it was his intention to visit the grounds during the coming week, in company with Mr. Strang and the Ram Fair Committee,, to attend the experiment feed-racks in cattle yards, and proposed alterations in ram-ring and race-gates. —The report was adopted. , .'The Finance Committee's report was read and adopted. This showed receipts for ,th'o • month amounting to £92 lis. 6d., and-expenditure £83 7s. 9d. Tho debit balance at date was £175 6s. 9d. The treasurer reported that at tlie corresponding; poriod last year tho, overdraft stood-at £700 18s. lOd. The interest on the overdraft to November, 1912, : waß .£32 19s. 9d., and to Novem.are of this year £3 19s. 4d. The members', subscriptions paid to November last year amounted to'£2s4 10s., and to November this year £280.
