STRATFORD'S OFFER.
MONEY AND MORE MEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Stratford, Novembor 14. 'A meeting of tlio directors of the Taranaki dairy factories was held here to-day, Mr. A. Morton presiding. Strike matters wero discussed fully, and it was resolved:—"That each directorate of the dairy companies in Taranaki be asked to mnkc a special effort to send )nen to Wollincton to work on tho
wharves ••in order that the strength of tho Arbitration Union may bo kept up, and tho dispatch of produce assured." It was also resolved: "That it bo a recommendation to tho Tarannki Dairying Employers' Union to make a levy up to -id. per lb. of butter-fat for October on tho wholo of its members to contribute to tho funds of Wellington _Dofenco Committee-." It is estimated that such a levy will produce over £2000. A frco response was mado for more men and horses from this district, and a fresh contingent will leavo for Wellington in the morning.
