A young woman disappeared from a fashionable hotel, »nd the police afterwards found a number of diamonds in Bowery resorts. A diamond broker, who was arrested, admitted giving tho diamonds to the woman to soil, but he declared that the diamonds belonged to him, not to othof dealers, as alleged.
