1 FATAL SEQUEL TO AN ARGUMENT. By Telerraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht ■ Melbourne, November 14. .An argument took place in an hotel late last night between two Melbourne residents and a Sydney man regarding the respective merits of the Yarra and the Parramatta Rivers as rowing courses. As a result, Dubos, aged twenty-one years, the Sydneyite, declared that ho could swim across the Yarra and back. Dubos swam across, and' his companions shouted: "Wait there till we bring your clothes over tlio bridge," but Dubos plunged in again and had nearly reached the bank •when ho was /seized by cramp. One of his companions jumped in, out got into difficulties, and had to be rescued himself. Dubos was drowned.
