SYMPATHY FOR IMPRISONED PASSIVE RESISTANCE LEADER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Johannesburg, November 13. At a large mooting British Indians expressed gratitude to Mr. Gandhi, leador of tho Indian passive resisters, and other passive resistors, and resolved to maintain the strugglo for the removal of Indians' grievances. (Rec. Novembor 14, 11.10 p.mi) Cape Town, Novomber 14. Mr. J. C. Merriman (Cape Premier), in a speech, said that they must seriously consider the treatment of the Indian question, and whether sacrifices might not be advisable lest we place the deadliest possible weapons in the hands .of agitators in India who are hostile to tho Empire.
