SHOPKEEPERS PETITION.

Auckland, November 13. Somo three hundred shopkeepers in the city and suburbs have signed a petition which is being prepared for presentation to the Prime Minister, and copies of which will also bo sent to Sir Joseph Ward, to Mr. Bradnoy, and to seven other members of Parliament. Tho petition roads as follows: —"Wo tho undersigned shopkeepers and business people of Auckland earnestly request you to bring pressure to bear on the Employers' Associatirn at one?, and not allow their stubbornness to ruin our trade. Business is paralysed."
