ANOTHER ARREST.

featherston STREET SCENE. Yesterday afternoon Detective Bailey arrested a man named Walter Burton, who will be charged this morning with assaulting E. V. Bevau on tho afternoon of Wednesday, November 5. This date was the occasion of tho riotous scenes in Featherston Street and vicinity, when the mounted special men were violently assayed by the mob, on their way to facilitate the shipping ''of racehorses to Lyttelton by the- Maunganui. Mr. E. V. Bevan is omployed as a passenger clerk in Messrs. Levin and Co.'s Shaw-SaviH- Agency. During the progress of tho ript ho remonstrated with a telegraph messenger who was throwing stones at tho mounted , specials, whereupon it is alleged he was violently assailed by Burton.
