WAR CORRESPONDENT WHO "ARRIVED."
MR. DONOHOE ON HOLIDAY.
IMPRESSIONS OP BALKAN FIGHTERS.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Perth, November 12. Mr. M. H. Donohoe, tho war correspondent of tho "London Daily Chronicle," and formerly, a Sydney pressman (who has. distinguished himself by his achievements during the Balkan war), has arrived here on a holiday. 110 says: "I have a very big and lasting affection and respect_ for the much-maligned Turk. Ho is a grand man naturally, and not cruel. On the other hand, the Bulgarian is an unmitigated brute. Tho Turk is a splendid fighting man, and his disasters were due to the fact that he was neither led nor fed."
Mr. Donohoe is especially emphatic in his declaration that war has not lost its horrors. The last phase of the Balkan war was even more horrible than the first.
Regarding national training, Mr. Donqnoe says he does not believe in conscription, but believes in Australia's'defenee methods. The result in the Balkans had proved that training must be carried out; that the only way to keep the peace is to be trained into possessing the ability to fly at the throats of aggressors, with a chance of hurting.
