Mr. GJy.nn, Federal Secretary for External Affairs, -says that he is glad to Jonrn the Rev. Frank Patau's authority for the statement in reference to the New Hebrides—that unless decisive acioii was taken by Australia before tho Franco-British' Conference regarding dual control in tho New Hebrides sis months hence tho British Government may permit the French to assume absolute control.
Nothing been officially heard regarding tlio matter. Mr, CJook (Federal Prime Min'.ster), .has repeated that ho does not beliovo the story, and that there is no foundation for the rumour.
