After passing through the stirring days of tho_ Waimi massacre, and tlio stressful period that followed, silo married in IS4G, and settled with her htisbinvl, the. late Mr. T. J. Thompson, at their farm of\ "Headiiigloy," Richmond, which had been her homo over .since* Of her largo family, four died in girlhood, and one, the late Mr. R, ,T. Thompson, formerly assistant- waster at 13ridge Street School, died at- survey work in Ainuri. Th.o surviving sons are:—Mr. H. P. Thompson, farmer, of Moutero; Mr. P. A, Thompson., Commissioner of Crown Lands at- Nelson; Mr. T. Iv. Thompson, land trans* for draughtsman at Auckland; Mr. E. D. Thompson, postmaster at Ponsonby, Auckland ; Mr. V. F. Tho surviving daughters aro Mrs. -James (l Dwycr. of Blenheim; Mrs, Alfred Sheat, of Richmond; ajid Mrs. Little proud, of Mangonui. MRS. K. HVICK. The death occurred on Friday at tho. residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. 'S Newport, of Nelson, of a highlyesteenied respooted. pioneer settler in Mrs. Eliza Livick, of Milton Street, the and relict of the late Jonathan Livid;, wharfinger., of Nelson, who predeceased her by 33 years. Tho deceased lady Was bom in Hampshire, Liigland. in tho year. .1831, and arrived With her parents in New Zealand in the W* 1843 in th.o ship .Lord Auckland. Slio lias resided in Nelson over since.
