EXTRICATING THE DEAD.

Paris, November 7.

The total dead recovered from the, wreckage of the Melun postal train (which was telescopcd by the Marseilles express during a fog) is forty-nino. Several are still unaccounted for. Only twenty-seven bodies havo been identified.
