The British Postmastor-Goneral announces that ho is prepared to consider applications to tender for the construction of tho second threo high-power wireless stations .of the Imperial chain, from any wireless company able bv means of a practical demonstration, to satisfy him of tho efficioncy of its system over 2000 milos, day and night. Applications aro required to be in by November 21. The Marconi Company proposes to lower its Pacific-Britain-Canada rates to Pd a word, and also to reduce its inferred messages' rates, in the hope that by means'of its duplex and automatic systems it will bo able to send 100 words a minute.
