(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Thames, November 5. A Thames contingent of over a hundred mounted men ba3 JaH for Auck-

land. Another contingent of fifty men is being formed, and will lie in readiness to-night. There was a ready responses to the call. Men could have reached Auckland earier, but remained on their farms, under instructions, until the result of the conforenco was known.

F'ood supplies siro running short, but the position at tho Thames is not so had as at Coromnndel, which is now isolated through tho steamer stopping. An overland service from Thames to Coromnndel will bo established.
