(By Tuletrraph - Piyj,3 Association.) Dunedln, November 4. Ships moored two abreast lay at the wharves'in idleness this morning. Tho Union Company's steamer Waitomo returned from Oamaru with coal for that port still ih her holds. She berthed alongside tho Mokpia) which, but for tho strike, would have gone into dock on Monday in preparation for resuming active soryico. Tho Waitomo was to have gone on from Oamaru to Newcastle in pursuanco of her programme to the Far East, but tho strike intervened and sho is now laid up indefinitely in dock. Tho work of fitting up Dredge 404 for her run to Melbourne is proceeding. Tho shipwrights and • metal-workers are not ccDCemed in tho strike.
