Blenheim, November 4. A' serious accident occurred -at Jordan, Upper Awatcre, yesterday. Percy M'Gowan and William Halo were engaged forming a private road, aiid were tamping a charge, of blasting powder, when a premature explosion occulted. Tlio men wero hurled ...some distanco away..- M'Gowan : was .thrown over' a steep cliff, and rolled down a gully 70 feet below. He Was severely bruised, and his condition was so bad that ho was ordered to the hospital. Halo had somo teeth knocked out,- his faco badly disfigurc-di and ono of his hands iii» jured. .
