A special programme has been arranged for, so that it will bo' a gala day for tho children. Still further reductions have been made in the price of the gtods by the stall-holdors to effect a thorough clearance. If as ready a salo takes place to-day as has been tho case during tho past two days, then there should not be much left in' the stalls at 10 p.m. Tho ladies are vying with each other to make a complete sweep of everything, so as to reach tho £2000 mark and secure the additional £500 promised. Tho entertainment with the pageant groups is uniquo and quite the best thing of its kind over given in Wellington, and should sccuro a record attendance. At' one time, owing to the strike, it looked that the only result would be disaster, but since tho promise of the £500 donation everything has changed. It only remains for the public to encourage and help tho promotors to-night with a great rally.
