An official inquiry into tho recent Zeppelin airship disaster attributes the explosion to tho creation of a partial vacuum in the forward car by tho windscreen. It is thought an eddy behind tho screen sucked escaped gas beneath the airship into the car, whero a spark from tho motor ignited it.
