CALL TO FARMER'S SONS.
Palmerston North, October 30. - The Wellington Provincial Exccutivo of the Fanners' Union, presided over by Mr, J. G. Wilson, to-day decided to issue a pamphlet calling upon farmers' sons to volunteer to work on- tlio wharves for the sake of tlio dairy industry. "Wo must defend and protect the fruit of our industry,' concludes the circular. A largo proclamation placard has also been propared. to bo posted up at the creamorios and centres where yonng farmers work. This points out the nijiii'Jj' which tlie strike will affect to the dairy industry, and contains an appeal from the Defence Committee of the union. It- shows that- from £3 to £5 a week £?u ho earned, and that full protection will be given.' "Wo know," it concludes, 'the iivconveuienco that this must bo at such a season, but. at ail hazards, the industry niust be protected." Forms have .been drawn up for the men to sign.
