CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. The Council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, through its president (Mr. 0. W. Jones), urgently invites the assistance of each member in co-oper-ating in tho formation of a fores for tho preservation of order in the city. The Mayor is being asked to take the initiative, but the inHuenee of each member of the chamber is wanted in tho direction of providing special constables. Employers are asked .to give facilities to employees to enrol. Names may bo handed in to the secretary of the chamber, or to the secretary of tho Employers' Federation; both offices are in the National Mutual Buildingß, 100 _ Customhouse Quay. Immediate action is imperatively called for, and names should bo handed in to-aay, if possible.
