It Was decided that tho Tramways Board of Management be authorised to proparo plans tor tho erection of car sheds on tlio old horso tramway fiito m Adelaide Road. It was further decided that authority bo granted for tho construction of ten new tramcars, and for tho purchase of tho necessary equipment for same. 11l this connection tho Mayor stated that a statement of finance in regard to trams would bo ready for tlio nest meeting of the committoo. bubjcct to the sits and plan being approved by tho City Engineer, it was decided that th& Kelburne-Karori ruot<lr Bus Company be granted permission, to oreet a waiting-shed in the vicinity of the Knvori Tunnel, subjeot to the site and plan being approved by the City Engineer. • A Request was reived from Mia Wellington South Progressive Societyasking that concession tickets bo sold by conductors oh the trnnioars. The Tramway Committee recommended that this "should not bis grdnt-ed, the Mayor (Mr. j. P. Luke) explaining that the' committee's opinion was that- the Conductors' duties wero quite heavy enough at the present time.—The recommendation of tho committee was agreed- .rfogft .■
