Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, held tlieir annual spring cftttle fair on Tuesday, and report having had a' piost successful Efllo, with c. total clearanco under tho hammer. The cattle camo forward in good condition, and met. with keen competition. A luce line ol bullocks, on account of Messrs. Gray Bros., made £8 7a. 6d., and another lino on account of lea Station, sold in conjunction with the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantilo, Asrency Co., realised £7 125. Other quotations are as follow:—Four-year forward bullocks, £3 18s.; three and a half-year do., £8 to £8 7s. 6d.; three-year do., £7 2s. to £7 125.; medium t.wo-year steers, £4 55.; sood two-year heifers, £4 Its. to £4 155.; ompty cows, £o lCs.; fat cows, £5 3a. to £6 16:7.; vearling steers, and heifers, j-1 is. 6d. to £2.
