EARLY SETTLERS ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting of the Early Settlers' and Historical Association was held in the Tiffen Tea Rooms last evening, Mr. R. A. AVright presiding. Mr. Enoch Tonks gav.e an interesting address on Wellington in tlio early forties. Several other members also recfiTM little incidents that occurred in their youth. A musical programme was contributed to by the following:—Mfsßes Belworthy and aCTwler, Mrs, B. J. Moore, and Messrs. C. Mohr and Waters. It was announced that the society would hold their next meeting at the Lower Hutt, in viow of the fact that so many yf the early pioneers reside in that district.
