Regarding the reported murder in August last of a French planter at Epl named Guitel, four natives being arrested as the perpetrators, other information shows that Guitel and another Frenchman wore the aggressors. They attacked three natives, and Guitel twisted tho neck of a native under his arm. Tho native in the. struggle that followed wounded him with a knifo fatallv. The three then gave themselves up. One, charged with wounding with intent, died in prison, apparently from the effects of poison.'
