WITHDRAW THE BILL?
VICTORIA COLLEGE COUNCIL'S REQUEST. A special meeting of the Victoria College Council was held at the College last evening under the presidency of Mr, H. H. Ostler. There were present Sir Robert Stout, Dr. ' Prender.gast Knight, Messrs. AV. Ferguson, A. T, Magiiiiiifcy, and 0. Watson. Tho mooting -waft called to discuss the provisions of the ATtotoria College Amendment Bill, proposed to lie submitted te Parliament this session. The various provisions were discussed briefly, arid finallv, on the motion of Sir. Robert Stout, it ,was decided to request the Government tc withdraw tho Bill
