AUCKLAND EXPRESS ARRIVES. The first through express to arrive from Auckland since Thursday last steamed into Thor/idon Station at 4.17 a.m. yesterday with about 300 passengers on board. Even at that early hour cabs and taxis were in waiting'to convey the passengers to. their homes or hotels. The passengers who left for tho north' by the mid-day train on Saturday last remained at Marten until 3 p.m. on Monday, when they were carried northward by a. special train, which a'r-"riv-ed^;' Au.ckltiiifi:'tai-l.V yesterday morning. The letter mails which have accumulated in the north since Saturday, arrived, by tho through express yesterday morning, and tho newspapers, camo to hand by last evening's New Plymouth express.
