The reduction or the discount rate of the Imperial' Bank of Germany from 6 per cent, to 5i per cent, is the first really favourable money market hews we have had for some time. The German bank rate was raised to 6 per cent, on November 14, 1912, so that this high rate has been maintained for nearly twelve months.
