SMALL STEAMERS TIE UP. Owing to tile continuance of the strike it has been found necessary to pay off the crews on soma of tho coastal steamers. Those stoamcrs which aro advertised to jsaiil "early l *', will sail immediately circumstances permit, but whilst tho companies aro unable to work cargo the vessels' which aro not passenger steamers, will remain in port. The creiVs of tho Stormbird, Ripple, and Blenheim are to bo paid off to-mor-row, Tlio crew of the Kapiti have beon paid off; the steamers Harrera, Kap'uni, and Mana aro to remain at Patea during the strike, while the A repawn. will remain at Wanganui. She Aorore and Alexander are at present tied up in port. Tlio Wakatu, Queen of the South Olid Opawa will also remain hero.
