The Sydney "Sun" states that in connection with Duke Foote's scratching for tho Metropolitan Handicap, and tho subsequent hostile demonstration on the Randwick course, tho owner (anticipating the demonstration) paid four policemen £20 to protect tho horso in tho event of it being rushed. Their eervicoa, happily, svcro unnecessary.
