University, by: which there has been added to tho-. schedule of examination exempting from' Rcspoiisions "The Matriculation Exam-' inatioji of University of New Z«a«: land provided that, in such cxamina-i - tion, the candidate has satisfied the examiners in Latin and in mathematics,, and that either lie has also satisfied them in tli-> Greek language or lias passed in Greek at Responsions in Oxford." The effect- of this important! concession is that, in future, bays who are to go to Oxford from New Zealand will be able to take tho equivalent of Responsions in their ordinary routind in this country.
