The Poverty Bay Turf Club's Spring Meeting opened to-day in rainy weather, though there were warm and sunny spells at intervals during the afternoon. There was a iarge attendance, and the day's racing was most enjoyable, being characterised by remarkably close finishes; ■ The results are: — JUNCTION HANDICAP, of 100 sovs. Six furlongs.—s Mr. M. G.
