DISGRACEFUL POVERTY IN REMOTE PARISHES. By Tolegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, October 21. Bishop Frodsham, formerly of North Queensland, addressing the Society of the Sacred Mission, said the weakness in the remoter parishes of England was deplorable. Many of tho clergy did not receive 80s. weekly. The cases of clerical poverty wero a disgrace to the Church, which battened upon the clergy's private means. Ho recommended the application of the Australian Bush Brotherhood's methods to the rural parishes.
