TJnsalted Butter—Taiori (Dimedin) »and Taieri (Oamaru). bracketed, 1; Downs Miles, 2; Denman, 3: Milawa, r reserve.; Corndale, very highly commended; Downs, Toowoomba, AJstonville, Singleton, Dungog,. highly commended ; Alexandra, Cowarr, Tallangat- .. ta, Kieiva, I'ittsworth, Pambula, Na- ; nango, Pommer Bros., Grantham, Binnaburra, Cobargo, and Warwick, commended.' ■ Clioese—Tariki, 1; Kaupokomii, 2; Hawera, 3; , Mangaramarama, reserve; G. Sadler (Victoria), highly commend- • ■ ed; Taratahi, commended. Bacon—English sidos took all three prizes. , There were no colonial awards for the Commonwealth gold medal for collection of produco. Judge's Comjnent. Professor Drnmmond, of Kilmarnock, indgo of cheeso and nnsalted butter, : said the butter reached a good average standard, tho prize-winners quite out- ; standing in excellence. Tho_exhibits Iwere as good as any lie had'inspected , for, a long time, the colour being bright jintl the texturo close. The exhibits wore' geftprally attractively put up, and >; showed to marked advantage. -"The ' cheese," he concluded, "is irregular, many of the exhibits being weak in ' body and deficient in flavour. . The - prizo lots are very useful - samples.
