The premises wero insured for £420 in tho Farmers' Co-operative Insurance Office, 1 and Mr. Houlton also bad his furniture ■ insured for £120 in tho South British ; Office. , i ONEHUNCA FIRE. < Auckland, October 21. ' A fire occurred at about 3 o'clock ; this morning in Onehmiga, in ii house i owned by Mr. Adam Jones, and occupied by Mr. Hopkinson, blacksmith. The occupant was not at home, having left throe days ago for New Plymouth. ' A neighbour was sleeping in the houLo with three of her own children, and two of Ilopkinson's, and they just man- ' aged to escapo_ from the burning build- J ing in their night attire. The house was badly damaged, and tho furniture j was destroyed. The house was in- | smed for £2.'!0, tho wash-house for £30, and the furniture for £100 in tho Roval Office.
