An art dealer from London who was touring in Umbria offered £4000 for Bernardino Pintnricchio's picture, "Virgin Mary and Child," stolen from. tho. Church of St. Mary Maggioro at Spollo, and discovered in a portmanteau at Charing Cross Station in London. A decayed nobleman secured a reproduction of the picturo, and tho parish priest admits that ho assisted in the substitution on a basis' of taking half the profits.
