MASTERTON NOTES.
6 During tho last fortnight 110 fewer than 4£ inches of rain has been registered. in Masterton. A man named Georgo Westliike, alias Wootton, has boon arrested here, and remanded to Wellington, on a- chargo of having, on October 15, stolen three watches, of tho value of £16, tho property of Thomas Shanahan and John Bourke. At a meeting of directors of tho Wairarapa Caledonian Society 011 Saturday, it was decided to communicate with Messrs. J. and N. Tait, and endeavour to secure a visit to Masterton of Mr. Harry Lauder.
