Thoro were several iieavy showers during the afternoon, ■° theso making tho wickets very soft. The !' conditions wero all in favour of the " batsmen, and tho games were charactertl ised by heavy scoring. Playing agaiiist 1 " Waitemata, Grafton scored 253 for six ■° wickets (M'Cormiclc G3, E. Ilorspool 81, W. Horspool 53, Sloman 72). In the North Shoro-Parnell match, the former scored 356 (L. Dacre 147, Sale 78, ig Rush 61, and Stewart 24). Anthony was tho most successful bowler, taking J four wickets for 77 runs. Eden A scored 277 against Eden B (Smecton 105, Brooke Smith 48, and Hay 28).
