Thence till tho day beforo arrival at Cape Town similar weather, with b.E. trades, was met with, and then a moderato S.E. gale, with heavy seas, wa« encountered. Cape Town was reached at. noon on Saturday, September 20, and the vessel eaiied against at 5.35 p.m. the following day. The day after sailing a moderato N.W.W. gale, with heavy following seas, was met with, and lasted until September 23, when the wind backed to N.E. and feu light. Thence to Hobart, fresh Jf.W. and S.W. winds were encountered, ivith the exception, of October 5, 6, and 7. # The vessel was almost continuously in wireless communication with ships and.' ehoro stations. The night after communication with Durban was lost, Hobart was picked up at a distance of 2063 miles.
